Evening Sketching: Palm Canyon & La Plaza in Palm Springs

Come sketch at dusk in downtown Palm Springs at the intersection of Palm Canyon and La Plaza. This is a busy area with several restaurants with outdoor dining and many stores. La Plaza is lined with Spanish style buildings covered with Bougainvillea. Walk a few steps in any direction and you will find something to draw. Meet at the fountain by the Sonny Bono statue next to Maracas Restaurant on Palm Canyon at 6:00 PM.  There is lots of free parking off of Belardo to the west of Palm Canyon.

There are some benches around the area to sit on but you can bring a stool if you want to choose your own location.

Usually the weather in the desert cooperates with scheduled sketch events, however it’s a good idea to check this listing the day of the event in case it has to be cancelled because of rain, wind, or other unforeseen conditions.  Any changes or cancellations will be posted by 7 am.
